Welcome back!

Launched by the Academy of American Poets in April 1996, National Poetry Month reminds the public that poets have an integral role to play in our culture and that poetry matters. Over the years, it has become the largest literary celebration in the world, with tens of millions of readers, students, K–12 teachers, librarians, booksellers, literary events curators, publishers, families, and—of course—poets, marking poetry's important place in our lives.
GCS congratulates GEHS Poetry Out Loud school contest winner Gracie Campbell! Way to recite and represent! #PoetryMonth

Students in Mrs. Workman's class are growing seeds. The seeds were placed in baggies on a wet paper towel and hung in the classroom window. Students will monitor the seeds each day and document the changes they observe in a 'Seed Journal'. Once the students have had the chance to watch the germination process, they will plant the sprouts in soil and continue to observe and record the changes they see.

Good luck to our archery team tomorrow!
