Congratulations to Baylor Brown. Her story for the Young Writers contest, "The Champion", placed first at the county level. It will now go on to the state level.

Last week we celebrated kindness week at Frankford. We did everything from wearing red to decorating the walls and sidewalks. We saw an enormous amount of kindness from the staff and students!





Saturday morning the Frankford Elementary Archery team made their way down to Charleston for West Virginia’s largest NASP event at the Charleston Coliseum and Convention Center. This event hosts over 1,270 archers from across the entire state of West Virginia.
Our Frankford team participated in the 11am flight and recorded our highest overall team score this season, shooting for a total of 2,741 points. Also, some of our archers recorded their personal best scores of the season!
Our team walked away with a 5th place overall finish out of 14 total elementary teams.
Congratulations for a successful tournament!


Greenbrier County Schools reminds families that Monday, February 19, is a Professional Learning and Faculty Senate Day. Students do not report on February 19th.

Greenbrier County Schools will operate on a three-hour delay schedule today, Tuesday, February 13, due to inclement weather.


FES would like to thank Dr Holliday and Dr Wood's dental office for providing our students with a free toothbrush to help spread awareness during Children's Dental Health Awareness month.


The Frankford Archery Team received a 3rd place finish at the Summers County Tournament in Hinton Saturday. Karson Brammer medaled with 4th place in the elementary boys division and Ryleigh Shirley medaled with 2nd place in the elementary girls division. Great job!

The Frankford Archery team placed 2nd this weekend at the First Annual Alderson Tournament. This team continues to improve every week. Thank you again to Mrs. Anderson for bringing archery to our school.

Something fun is always happening in the after school program. This week involved making oobleck.





3rd grade scientists in Miss Garn's class were on a rescue mission! Students were tasked with a paper clip rescue mission. After learning about magnetism and polarity the students used their new knowledge to save the paper clip from the water without getting wet. Using a magnet, they were able to bring the paper clip to safety.




4th grade students have been studying ascending and descending melodies and they created their own as a class last week. It was called "The Dancing Puppy."

Students in the after school program tried the "Foaming Frosty Snowman Challenge". This challenge is open to any WV youth, ages 9-20. You can check it out at https://4-h.org/clover/activities/foaming-frosty-snowmen










So proud of our Math Field Day team and their hard work today! Congrats to Parker for placing 3rd in fifth grade and Garrett for placing 5th in fourth grade.
